President's Message

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.

This quote comes to mind as I conclude my term as the AFWA Omaha Chapter’s President. This past year has been such a great experience and I am sad that it has come to an end.

As I am reflecting on the year, we have had some wonderful times! From axe throwing, to cookie decorating, the numerous CPE events, and even all the uncertainty with the Public Health Emergency; I am so grateful to have been able to experience them all with you.

Although our 2020 events have not looked as I originally imagined, I am thankful for everyone’s flexibility and continuous involvement through it all. I look forward to the day we can all meet again in person!

AFWA is such an amazing organization and provides great opportunities to grow, connect with other women in the community and allow for continuous learning. I am excited for this next year and I am confident that the 2020-2021 Board of Directors will make this the best year yet!

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the opportunity to be your 2019-2020 President.

Rebecca Goodwin
