Monthly Chapter News
Tis the time for the wearing of the green! Everyone is Irish for one day on Saint Patrick’s Day.
Details are being finalized for the after tax season social meeting in late April. We will be going to an escape room followed by drinks and appetizers. Registration information will be available in the April newsletter.
The annual Public Relations dinner will be held in May. More information will be available next month. We look forward to seeing everyone at this special event.
The nominating committee will be contacting members to serve on the Board of Directors or on a committee for the next chapter year that starts in July. You don’t need any special skills for these positions, just a positive attitude and the desire to do your part to help the chapter grow and thrive. Many of these positions require a time commitment of only one or two hours per month. There are also resources available to help you learn the duties of your new position. The AFWA national website offers documents and templates for committee chairs and Board leaders. Previous chapter Board members and chapter Past Presidents are also available to assist you.
Hope everyone finds a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow this Saint Patrick’s Day!
Nominating Committee
The nominating committee is seeking members to serve on the 2025 – 2026 Board of Directors and to serve on various committees. The nominating committee will be contacting members to fill these positions.
Serving on a committee or the Board of Directors is a great way to add to your skill set and to expand your network. At the same time you will be ensuring that the chapter continues to thrive and serve our members in the future.
The Omaha chapter will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026. We stand on the shoulders of the women who made this chapter a success. Please consider serving so we may carry that success forward to the next group of leaders.
Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in a specific Board or committee position.

Public Relations Dinner

This event is an opportunity to showcase the chapter’s accomplishments for the year and to recognize our scholarship winners. The highlight of the evening is the basket raffle to raise funds for the chapter’s scholarship and education fund.
The success of the dinner depends on the planning done by the Public Relations Dinner committee and the basket raffle donations contributed by local businesses.
