Monthly Chapter News
Happy New Year! Hope everyone was able to relax and enjoy the holidays. For many of us the busy season has already started.
The new year is an excellent time to review old habits and create new ones. Many people do this by making New Year’s resolutions. This year we encourage everyone to adopt a resolution that you – YES, YOU – will attend an AFWA meeting. Don’t be shy! Even if it has been a long time since you attended your last meeting, you will still find a welcoming group of members and friends to greet you.
Thanks to all that attended our December social event at The Makery. It was fun to see everyone relax and embrace their creative side.
The annual tax update will be presented on the AFWA national website on January 21st. Registration is now open at afwa.org for this event.
On January 30th the chapter will be holding an in person lunch meeting. Moniki Gunn, Founder of Put Me In Coach Consulting and Director of Employee Relations at Boys Town, will be discussing What’s Next: Build a Winning Team and Culture.
Moniki Gunn is an advocate for her community which is displayed in all aspects of her personal and professional endeavors. Moniki has worked in many sectors from Fortune 500 companies to small non-profits. She currently serves as the Director of Employee Relations for Boys Town in Omaha. Moniki is also the founder of Put Me In Coach Coaching and Consulting where she serves as a leadership development coach and consultant focusing on individual performance, team engagement, and organizational culture. Her core passion, purpose, and mission is to support and uplift the “underdog” in career and business.
Visit our chapter website at omahaafwa.org to register for this meeting. CPE approval for this meeting is pending at this time.
Don’t forget to make your resolution to attend an AFWA meeting this year!
