President's Message

“It took me quite a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent." Madeleine Albright.

Our theme for the 2017-2018 year will focus on "Women Count". What we say and do make does make a difference. It is important for each of us to find our voice and support one another.

Hello, I am Annette Devine your 2017-2018 President. I feel fortunate to have a team of women on the board focused towards ensuring your membership with AFWA is beneficial. As a team we are committed to providing educational, networking and social opportunities. We listened to your feedback and will be making changes to our meetings. Meeting times will rotate between early evening and the lunch time. More opportunities will be provided for you to network with other women professionals. The price for meetings will vary depending on the speaker and or activity.

Our first meeting will be a social event and is scheduled for September 28th at The Makery. We will have an opportunity to break out the creativity hiding inside and create a craft to take home. You'll have plenty of time to visit with your fellow peers and share your summer stories.

Plan on joining us at our meetings and helping us make your time meaningful.

Annette Devine
